Mac Wonder Woman Spitfire Lipstick, Revlon Wild Orchid

On Thursday this week, the Mac Spring Wonder Woman Collection launched in UK Mac Stores. I've been dying to get my hands on this collection, with two items I had my eye on. The lipstick in Spitfire and the MSF Pink Power. Unfortunately for some reason my Mac store did not have any of the larger than life MSF's. They were not sold out but said that they were not getting them in. This is very strange and I was so gutted as I really wanted to get it. Any how I did end up getting the lipstick, Spitfire so all was not lost.

This is a lovely lipstick to have in your collection. Its not entirely unique as there are similar colours out there but its a great inbetween lip colour of pink and purple. It is not too harsh to wear and the creamy consistency is excellent and makes it very wearable. Mac states it is a satin finish so it is not as matte or too creamy. Some have said it is similar to 'Girl About Town' from Mac but a darkened version. This would be great teamed with a clean eye, maybe with a slick of eye liner or a simple smokey look. I dont think it will be great with alot of colour on the eye as its quite a statement lip colour.

I have found a dupe out there which is cheaper if someone is looking for a cheaper alternative. It is not exact but close. The dupe is by Revlons' Superlucious collection in Wild Orchid.

Revlon's is a slight lighter pinkier shade but is buildable and is very similar on the lips to Spitfire. They are also both similar in consistency with them being quite creamy and easy to apply. I love Revlons lipsticks, they are my favourite drug store lippy :)

What did you buy from the WW Collection?? Did it meet your expectations?
